Unlike most online graphic converters that upload your personal pictures to backend servers or third-party cloud infrastructure (such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure), ColoringSheetsAI operates on an architectural zero-knowledge model:
- We do not collect or upload images: When you drag, drop, paste, or select a photo, the image is loaded into your browser’s temporary HTML5 Canvas memory. No pixel data is transmitted across the network.
- We do not collect names or emails: You do not need to register, create an account, or log in to download coloring pages or convert photos.
- We do not collect payment or billing data: All features, vector SVG downloads, and print-ready coloring sheets are 100% free of charge.
2. How In-Browser Processing Works
Our edge-detection and contour tracing algorithms are written in WebAssembly and optimized JavaScript executed locally via HTML5 Web Workers. Because this computing happens directly on your smartphone, tablet, or laptop CPU, our web servers never receive your original photos or generated SVG files. Once our static assets are cached, you can even disconnect from Wi-Fi and continue converting images completely offline.
3. Local Storage & Cookies
We respect user privacy and do not use invasive tracking cookies or fingerprinting scripts. We may use standard browser localStorage solely for convenience features such as:
- Preserving your selected threshold, line thickness, or detail preferences between conversions.
- Holding temporary undo/redo color fills while you actively paint inside the in-browser studio.
You can clear your browser storage at any time via your browser settings with zero impact on site functionality.
4. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
ColoringSheetsAI is designed for all ages, including children, parents, teachers, and schools. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Because our platform operates without user registration, profiles, or data harvesting, our application is safe for young learners in both homeschool and classroom environments.
